š Week #7: Deep Research
Dive into the depths of secular knowledge.
Dear Readers,
Still raw and unpolished, but here is another random drop.
I am a researcher, and I like to research everything I want. Since AI is taking over the entire planet, what if we deep-dive into it? The Deep Research feature overwhelms me, so I will start digging for helpful gems for us now.
Follow me, bring your shovel or your pickaxeā¦āļø
Letās dig! Donāt forget to bring a jug of coffee, we're traveling for too long.
Your Searcher,
Kyle
P.S. Keep digging for new stuff ahead especially Random Nice Stuff.
P.S.S. Also, donāt forget to tap the View entire message when you read this in email. You will not see the mini-magazine that I designed for you. (Who cares?) Oh, just please see it for me! š

Anyhow, continue digging!
š Practical Research Tips
Aha! I remember cramming and conducting experiments as a researcher. I remember my first failed research project as a beginner, and you know what? Thatās totally fine! I did it solo, and when I found myself in the spotlight, presenting it publicly, I felt so intimidated. And yes, it was intimidating. I ended up in a pretty horrible situation.
Anyway, hahaha, enough of that flashback! If I could give my past self some advice, hereās one of them:
š” At the very start of your research, begin by asking a clear and compelling question that fits your needsāthen search for a good standardized questionnaire.
Thatās it! Because when you already have enough resources and realize thereās no standardized questionnaire availableāwhether from prestigious researchers or anyone else on your chosen topicāyouāll probably have to create your own and run pilot testing. And that can seriously eat up your research time and resources.
Of course, this doesnāt mean you must avoid topics without standardized tools. Some great research requires you to build your ownāand thatās okay too. But itās good to be aware early on, especially if you're on a tight schedule.
You might even find yourself thinking, āShould I just start over and find a topic with a ready-made questionnaire?ā š© That was a pretty awful feeling.
Hey, I know this tip mostly applies to beginners, but if it helps you, feel free to use it! And if you want more, go ahead and dive into pilot testing. Itās often necessary if you're working on creative, untapped, or unexplored topicsāand there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Stay curious and keep going.

š People (You) are amazing!
As an observer, I find people truly amazing. How wonderfully and creatively personified they are! They experience specific feelings I long to feel too. Some describe themselves as sonder, nostalgically euphoric, enthralled, frisson, sweetly annoyed, or deeply in love. Immersed in these rare emotions that are hard to feel, in ways that seem elusive to mimic.
You are great!
You are unique!
You are a wonderful person!

š“ Pause and read this, please!
Hurray! We are now in Week #7, which feels like a long time since I wrote this publication. Lately, I've been wondering if everyone here enjoys the randomness of this newsletterās content.
Searcherās idea is to take a pause or continue sending you random nice stuff. What do you think?Ā Should I keep going?
Thank you for being here through it allāyouāve made this journey so much more meaningful. š

š Deep Research and The Lost Media
If youāre an internet sleuth, this might pique your interestāthe most mysterious song on the internet has finally been found! Halt! I didnāt uncover it myself. I just stumbled upon the discovery and, admittedly, Iām a bit late to the party.
Check out my emotionally soaked piece, where I delve into the deep research powered by ChatGPT and my journey of searching for the long-lost commercial video.
š Out of Place by Havenāt Thought (Ajtastic)
The featured music is layered with a dreamy melody, tinged with a touch of grunge. It feels sonically alternative, yet intriguingly out of place!
š Rethinking Random Nice Stuff
Thanks to greek saladās comment, which gave me the idea to rethink Random Nice Stuff. Iām going to show it and play with new stuff next week. Stay tuned!
š Effective Tools That Simplify Your Research
Iāve been keeping this a secret from my own for a long time. These tools make my research easier than ever. This includes citation generator, finding resources and references, making presentations, and more.
ChatGPT
I know what you're thinking, but it is more than that. I used this tool to find sources on the internet related to my research. This also helps me brainstorm what I have, especially when creating outlines, finding a standardized questionnaire, identifying and learning any gaps, expanding any knowledge, and more.
Just make sure that you will not use it to generate your whole research; just use it responsibly. ChatGPT is a cool partner, but it becomes pretty dangerous when you donāt use it responsibly. The integrity of the research is what you prioritize here.
āQuillbot: Citation Generator
I remember one of my colleagues, whom I assigned as responsible for our references. Sheās annoyed and feels reluctant to type all of the links that I handed, because back then we used the schoolās computer that the teacher warned us we must not insert any device or connect to the internet. That is why we cannot really do anything, except for just manually typing it all over. We know that references are an integral part of the research, but working on them feels cumbersome. I feel her!
Anyways, Quillbot solves our problem, just by giving them a link, and they will generate the reference for us, and we get a document full of our reference. Feels easy, right? But not when you cite manually, because some websites are not properly managed, so you need to edit them manually to create a citation. Overall, Quillbotās citation generator saves your time, so keep it as an essential tool.Napkin AI
Now, as you stand in front of the panelists, you may have a presentation prepared. But before you stand there, you may want to know how to create one. You may be interested in Napkin AI. This tool helps your text into visuals so sharing your ideas is quick and effective. Like, they can generate a graph out of your text. Just give them your results and discussions of the data, and tell them to generate; it is worth the time saving over manually making a graph in spreadsheets as visuals.
Now, you have my secrets about tools. You can spread it to everyone so they will know too.
šThe Power of 0 and 1
Did you know that computers only understand 0s and 1s?Ā
Wait, what?Ā
Then why can they display text, images, and videos?
Check out thisĀ high-production-qualityĀ video from Joshās channel, and you will learn how 0s and 1s turn into amazing things like images, videos, and more.
š The Art of Prompting
Look at how Aeon crafted this enthralling piece of art using AI!
He wrote a good article about how to create a powerful prompt for us to get a high-quality random image from AIājust like above. Consider reading his painfully easy way to create one.
Introduction: Prompting Is Visual Writing
A prompt is not a command. It is a piece of writing, a small act of imagination that conjures a world. Many treat prompts as mechanical inputs, keyword lists and commas flung like paint, hoping Midjourney catches the splatter. I do not write that way. If you are here, perhaps you feel the same pull toward something deeper.
Prompting, for me, is visual storytelling, part poetry, part cinematic direction, part photographic eye. It carries rhythm, tension, voiceā¦
